Abstract
  • This research project was designed to explore the use of creativity in corporate worship in a large Baptist church. The project, which could serve as a model or catalyst for improving worship at similar churches, examines the theological and historical roots of worship. From this review, certain biblical and foundational principles to creative authentic worship were noted. The method of study included the use of a questionnaire and an in-depth worship analysis with the spiritual leadership of the church. Creative worship is not a gimmick for coercing worshippers or a means of pumping a new spirit in a decaying institution. However, the goal of authentic creative worship will not be realized unless some variety and fresh expressions are introduced into the worship experience on a regular basis.
