Abstrato
  • This study of Christian leadership begins with the current sociological understanding and theories of leadership. The project then analyzes the apostle Paul's leadership style in order to formulate a model of early church leadership. Confessions and governmental style of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A) are analyzed to determine the Presbyterian Church's understanding of Christian leadership. Practical examples of leadership are drawn from the parish using a project funded by the Lilly Foundation to illustrate leadership issues in the local congregation. The project concludes with a guide to understanding and developing Christian leadership. A final chapter seeks to integrate the previous four chapters.
