Abstract
  • The pressing issue facing churches is: What must they do to make God's church viable and pertinent to secular society? This project looks at problems involved in evangelizing secular people. It provides a structure for understanding felt needs and feelings about churches through a two-part survey strategy. It facilitates the formulation of strategies to touch lives through ministry for evangelism. The project shows secular people's strong positive feeling for God, their reasons for apathy toward traditional church structures, and their belief that churches could make a difference in the lives of people.
