- Abstract
- This major project attempts to meet a future need for missionary training within evangelical circles in Austria. The goal is to provide church-based training in the area of cross-cultural adjustment for prospective Austrian missionaries. The backbone of the couse is a bi-weekly meeting with a foreigner living in Austria, with whom the students are to meet in order to discuss matters dealt with in the course. Issues such as identification, culture, world view, language, non-verbal communication, adjustment, culture shock, as well as culture, conscience and the issue of sin, and cross-cultural conflict management are covered in the seven lessons.
