- Abstract
- Increased unity for the primarily volunteer ministerial staff team of Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church was addressed. Team vision, structure, management and accountability systems were lacking. A biblical unified teamwork model is the thesis outcome. Old and New Testament passages on teams and teamwork provided the foundation. Human resources, business, church and volunteer leadership literature complement the biblical study and theological reflection. Ethnographically oriented primary and secondary data culminated in sixty-three model recommendations. Recommendations for team structure, systems and maintaining healthy team relationships are addressed. Churches and faith-based organizations utilizing volunteer ministerial teams to accomplish vision may benefit from the model.
