  • The study presents a background on the situation in Ghana and investigates the ethical, sociological, economic and political dilemmas which have faced the church. It examines the transition from traditional religion to Christianity and missionary motivations. It deals with the church's encounter with culture and the relation between the church and state and other social systems. It proposes strategies which the Christian Council could adopt for leadership roles in the church and society. The thesis gives new insights and invariable spirituality dimensions for leadership ministry.
