Abstract
  • This project provides the theological and ecclesiological foundation for Greenhills Christian Fellowship (GCF) in operating a church with multiple satellites. Chapter 1 describes the ministry context and challenges GCF has faced, while Chapter 2 provides a survey of literature on multi-site churches and ecclesiology. Chapter 3 establishes the theological and ecclesiological foundation of a New Testament church. It discusses the biblical basis of a multi-site church, the seven key theological concepts in the Old and New Testaments relevant to the life of a local church, and provides a biblical definition of the church. Chapter 4 presents the essential functions of a New Testament church, chapter 5 summarizes the guiding principles in operating a multi-site church, chapter 6 evaluates the present ministry of GCF and accompanying propsed recommendations, and chapter 7 provides a summary of conclusions from the project.
