Abstract
  • This project contends that a new community based mission and ministry language has evolved in the post Vatican II publically funded Alberta Catholic School. The design involved trustees as validators of selected words and of the content developed. Thirty words-expressions were identified and developed as emanating out of Blueprints, a Catholic school leadership renewal process situated in western Canada. This paper includes an extensive comparison (written in French) of Alberta's vocabulary with that of a sister province, Quebec. The project also features a strong ecumenical dimension whereby Catholic schools are to promote genuine social pluralism.
