Abstract
  • This project proposes that through 'midwife preaching' a wounded congregation can become a spiritually renewed community. In a case study of a troubled Canadian church the project employs field notes, congregational feedback groups, personal journal reflections, interviews, and video- and audiotapes. Midwife preaching seeks to open people to their innate knowledge of God and to help them give birth to their own gifts of ministry.
