- Abstract
- This is a study of Korean immigrants in Australia. In this study, the background of Korean immigration to Austrlia is discussed and the characteristics of Korean immigrants are discovered. A specific research into the Korean community in the Brisbane metropolitan area is carried out identifying their basic problems and pressing needs. In order to minister effectively, a theology of immigration is formulated and strategies are developed along the lines of the 'Sa-rang Bang' movement for self-actualization, the 'Chi-geh Koon' model of burden sharing and bilingual/bicultural ministry. The method of study has been by surveying the relevant literature and from personal interviews.
