Abstract
  • This project offers practical and spiritual assistance to the incarcerated, the ex-offenders and their children in Ohio and the Akron, Summit County area. It will also offer human services such as employment, spiritual counseling and an understanding of family dynamics upon re-entry. A new coalition of community and church based networking has been established to address the multiple needs of re-entry. A new mentoring project has been established to meet the indispensable supportive needs of children whose parents are incarcerated. I have found that the vortex of incarceration has systemic consequences, which are herein addressed.
