Abstract
  • The thesis was that public, childhood preconversion responses are a reality of faith development to which the church must minister. The goals were: educate the congregation about faith development, and develop and adopt a ministry affirming childhood preconversions. The pretest/posttest method measured the educational effectiveness of a preaching and teaching series. The committee process developed and proposed for adoption a preconversion ministry. Interviews with committee members provided subjective analysis of the entire project. The goals were accomplished. The ministry includes: identifying the preconversion, offering futher training, reciting Mark 10:13-16, singing 'Jesus Loves Me,' and blessing the child.
