Alternative Title
  • Christianity and healing: an ethnological theology for the Evangelical Presbyterian Church of Togo
Abstract
  • This study demonstrates that rejection of local cultures cannot be simply made on the assumption that they are not western or Christians because all cultural systems are equal. Ethnological and theological analysis of cultures allows ministers to work towards an integration of both local and Christian models. The author recommends specialized training such as socio-cultural anthropology and cross-cultural theology to equip ministers for the contextualization of the gospel.
