- Abstract
- This congregation-based project sought to enhance lay and staff leaders' ability to communicate a congregational vision through vision framing and sharing vision stories. Participants met weekly for three months, presented verbatim and reflected on how they were learning to share the vision. The group discovered that developing shared vision is an ongoing process requiring deliberate reflection and accountability. Leaders seeking to do so must comprehend the vision profoundly, be genuinely committed to it and learn how to refer to the vision statement explicitly in all aspects of their ministry. The project findings are related in a narrative fashion.
