  • Whole person medicine is an approach to health care which recognizes the integration of body, mind, emotions, spirit and environment. This project report defines whole person medicine and traces biblical and historical precedents for the church's involvement in such an approach to health care. Research material is drawn from interviews with 31 physicians and from personal experiences in dealing with cancer. Material is included for a four-week seminar titled: 'Your faith and your health'. Five sermons are also included. The seminar and sermons demonstrate a beginning point for the teaching ministry of a church concerned with this subject.
