Abstract
  • This project focused on caring for the aged. It was based on research gathered from the fields of Christian ethics, gerontology, decision-making, and interviews with those working through these decisions. Pre- and post-assessments measured participants' cognitive learnings. The five workshops dealt with group decision-making dynamics and alternatives, issues facing the aged, and options for care. Objectives were to contribute material beneficial to the participants. Goals were to educate participants on the issues of the aging, care options, and a process of ethical decision-making. This report recommends that local churches become intentional about ministering to the aged and their families.
