Abstract
  • This project proposes that a Christian believer's growth toward faith maturity is best accomplished when his or her spiritual journey moves from privilege into responsibility. Within the context of the priesthood-of-the-believer doctrine, this means that, as priests who share in the privileges of righteousness because of our relationship to Christ, Christians must incorporate the commensurate responsibilities for faithful living and service. A local church educator should provide a Christian education plan that fosters faith maturity and is indigenous to resources, holistic in strategy, and balanced in scope. The project presents a model for Redland Baptist Church and a generative plan for Southern Baptist churches.
