Abstract
  • This project affirms a connection between spirituality--loving God--and social ministry--loving neighbor. In the context of a middle-sized congregation surrounded by social change, the project designs two worship experiences as settings in which the connection between spirituality and social change can be nurtured, integrating insights from biblical studies, theological reflection, and Congregational history. Grounding a congregation's ministry in the connection between spirituality and social ministry creates opportunities for faithful response to changing demographics, economic forces, and religious attitudes.
