- Abstract
- The author designed and executed a Seeking Solitary project for Seventh-day Adventists with the goal in mind to reintroduce the long held Adventist belief that just before the Second Coming of Jesus Christ there will be a need to flee from persecution. Twelve volunteers from the 2 Airport Drive Seventh-day Adventist participated in a fleeing-simulation through which they spent two to four days in the North Maine Woods living totally off the grid. Collected data including completed pre-and-past simulation questionnaires, written reports, and an audio-visual documentary made by participants and then shared with the whole congregation. The project brought the reality of isolation and its corresponding needs to the conscious thought of the congregation.
