Abstract
  • As an instance of ministry, this project is a lectio of scripture and texts relating to the Kingdom of God, the Lord's Supper and the public meals of Jesus in which salvation comes as [remission] of sins. The goal of this project has been to articulate the role of the liturgy as ethos in the formation of liturgical, pastoral and parochial ministry. The first three chapters bear upon the dynamic of the imminence of the Kingdom of God in the preaching of Jesus and its appearances in the structure of the Lord's Supper. The final three chapters deal with the liturgical expression of the dynamic of the Kingdom in the Didache and in the ministry of the church as flowing from ordination, baptism eucharistic gatherings.
