Abstract
  • The purpose of this project was to equip selected teens, parents, and other adults in mentoring skills. The aim was involving participants from the Oak Grove Baptist Student Ministry, Bel Air, Maryland to practice mentoring as a discipleship tool. Many church discipleship practices focused on information assimilation rather than life transformation. The lack of application exemplified a drastric struggle in the church's educational practices. Mentorships offered a viable key to effect change in the students' Christian spiritual growth through accountability and personal relationships. The project report shared the development, implementation, and evaluation of the mentor training.
