Abstract
  • The author developed an introductory class on biblical preaching for undergraduates. The class was based on the four essential aspects of preaching: exegesis, homiletics, communication and spirituality. The research method was program development and evaluation. Both quantitative and qualitative measures were employed to determine that it was in fact possible to train preachers to preach. This dissertation provides a template for others who plan on teaching introductory preaching at both the college and seminary levels.
