- Abstract
- Helping professionals generally do not feel adequately prepared to provide emotional and spiritual care to disaster impacted populations. Thus, their confidence in providing this care is low. The thesis hypothesized and argued is that the project based upon this thesis would show that an intensive five-day curriculum with a three-month follow-up program would increase the confidence level of the participants. The five-day curriculum trained the participants in intensive disaster emotional and spiritual care leadership. The pretest and posttest showed a statistically significant change using a paired samples test.
