- Abstract
- This project demonstrates how a northwest Ohio village church, Allentown United Methodist Church, sought to effectively involve congregation and pastor in its mission and ministry through shared envisioning, planning, and resourcing. The project focused on growth in witness, stewardship, relationship and membership. Individuals and committees worked collegially through an administrative council toward the development, implementation and resourcing of the mission of the church as prescribed by its church/charge conference. Thereport outlines biblical and theological bases for envisioning and planning, as well as reviewing literature resources. The project showed positive results in holistic growth of congregation and pastor.
