Abstract
  • This Project Director sought to train leaders how to lead a prayer meeting by teaching the principles that transcend culture, method, format, style, or denomination that God requires for dynamic prayer. He tested this through eight, one-hour, weekly, teaching sessions, a four-hour prayer retreat, and by requiring that participants lead a prayer meeting solo. The results indicated that participants showed growth toward that end. The Project Director learned valuable lessons regarding teaching for leadership skills, which is markedly different from teaching for content. He also discovered new ways to enhance the effectiveness of leading a prayer meeting.
