Abstract
  • This project proposes that Christian life among Korean American Presbyterians influenced by shamanism can be energized and directed only as they find the meaning of the theological principle of reconciliation in a life of love and justice. Corporate services of penitence and reconciliation lead these converts to reconciliation with new neighbors, despite a climate of racial hatred and violence in America. The act of loving neighbors is a true response to God's love because God has come to reconcile the world to himself in Christ, not counting people's sins against them.
