Abstract
  • The purpose of Scriptural Focus was to share systematically the biblical story in educational and worship settings using the Common Lectionary as the basis for Bible study, sermons, interpretation, and discipleship focus. Key goals included the identification of the seasons of the Christian year and their implications for discipleship and the enhancement of learning through coordination of adult curriculum lessons and sermons. Through pretests and posttests conclusions were reached that learning could be enhanced through this method, but that the identification and appreciation of the Christian year is not easily attained.
