- Abstract
- Aging commonly brings physical, emotional, and economic powerlessness, which affects elderly Korean-Americans more deeply because of cultural and linguistic barriers, immobility, and a generation gap between the elderly and their more assimilated progeny. This project interviews more than 100 pastors and elderly persons, pointing to urgent needs for ministry, and it also analyzes typical examples of ministry in New York and New Jersey. From this research the project treats issues and ideas for development of ministry to the Korean-American elderly in church settings.
