- Abstract
- After reviewing contemporary insights into the spirituality of the diocesan priest, the author studied how the writings of Charles de Foucauld shape Jesus-Caritas Priests' fraternities. The author used three questionnaires to research the diocese of Sioux City presbyterate's spiritual and ministerial lives and to identify factors which contribute to priests' satisfaction. The responses of Jesus-Caritas priests, priests who belong to other support groups, and priests who belong to no support group were analyzed. This research was distributed to the presbyterate, and the author mentored a group of priests in the formation of a new Jesus-Caritas Priests' Fraternity. The thesis includes eight appendices: the questionnaires, research report, and mentoring materials.
