  • The purpose of this project was to develop a volunteer-leadership training strategy for Highland Colony Baptist church, Ridgeland, Mississippi. This purpose was achieved through a strategy planning model. The project director conducted the project while serving as Executive and Education Pastor of Highland Colony Baptist Church. The project was completed in four phases. The firsts two phases consisted of research on existing models of leadership training and the field of strategy planning respectively. The third phase of the project focused on the development of a volunteer-leader training strategy for Highland Colony Baptist Church. The development process utilized a select group of leaders from the church. The final phase of the project was the presentation of the volunteer-leader training strategy to Highland Colony Baptist Church for approval. The approval of the project by the church completed the scope of the project.
