Abstract
  • Of the Transcendental attributes of God, Beauty is too often neglected and devalued, often leading to pastoral boredom and moral failure. This thesis-project is a fusion of two ideas: helping Christians, particularly pastors, encounter the objective beauty of the Lord through their most natural approach to God, known as their spiritual inclination. A survey tool is used to discover each participant's inclination. Appropriate Scripture meditation, a Jonathan Edwards sermon, an excerpt from C.S. Lewis' "Chronicles of Narnia" and spiritual disciplines drawn from Dallas Willard's "Spirit of the Disciplines" provide a path in a retreat setting to experience, celebrate, and deepen relational trust in God's ultimate beauty.
