Abstract
  • This project was an attempt to get a Southern Baptist congregation to face the crisis within the denomination. The difficulty in that objective is based on the nature of the relationship of the church and denomination. That relationship is one based solely on a voluntary cooperation wherein the local church is independent and autonomous. The project required research in the area of group dynamics as this writer had to lead in a dialogue process with a group of congregational leaders. The sessions involved the presentation of the issues in a manner so as to allow the group to see the situation objectively.
