Abstract
  • This Doctor of Ministry project was designed to identify the essential characteristics of a growing disciple of Jesus Christ, with the objective of developing a process to promote and aid growth at Houston Fellowship Baptist Church. To start, healthy churches were observed and literature on discipleship was explored. A manual was created and put to use with church leadership and with a focus group of congregants. One key finding of the project was that people benefit not only from a clear picture of growing disciples, but also from specific, applicable, and practical ways to grow in Christ.
