Abstract
  • This project surveyed eleven elderly church members about feelings of acceptance, services to the elderly, how others accept the elderly, and opportunities for the elderly to serve. The author concluded that the elderly need: to be accepted by others; help in continuing their church development; opportunities to serve others; and to participate in program development. Architecture, schedules, and transportation plans must support the participation of the elderly in church life. The project recommended that congregations support ministries to, for, and by the elderly.
