- Abstract
- Membership in the body of Christ should be one of the most enriching and rewarding life experiences for a Christian. Church members will grow in their walk with the Lord and become mature members of the church through the intentional practice of spiritual disciplines. The convening of small praxis groups and intentional preaching and teaching on spiritual disciplines are effective methods to expose members to the importance of becoming practitioners of the Christian spiritual disciplines. Ongoing exposure to the importance of the Christian spiritual disciplines will produce a congregation of mature members who advance the Kingdom of God.
