  • The thesis is that faith is transmitted through stories. Christian worship is the setting for retelling those stories, and within worship the arts add a new dimension which bring the stories to life for the worshippers. The project is a practical and theological exploration of the use of mime as an art form used in worship. A mime worship service was developed for a local congregation and a synod meeting to consider the thesis. The arts touch people on a different level than the preached word. This added dimension allows people to participate in the stories. Through the arts the worshipper is enabled to make the connection between ancient scripture and his or her contemporary life.
