Abstract
  • This project records the implementation of an intercessory prayer ministry in the context of the local church. The time parameter was May 6, 2001 until October 7, 2001. Biblical research focused on the prayers of Abraham (Gen 18:22-33), Moses (Exod 32:11-14), Paul (Phil 1:3-8), and Jesus (John 17:1-26). Contemporary studies were explored, which addressed the scientific experimentation concerning the relationship of prayer and therapeutic medical treatment. Research methods included survey instruments at the beginning and end of the project along with two focus groups for evaluation. The project concluded with the successful implementation of an intercessory prayer ministry.
