- Cedarview Church congregation (Paris, Ontario) was actively engaged and enthusiastic in regards to community ministries. To address a perceived weakness, a project was developed using appreciative inquiry and focused sermons to move congregants to develop friendships with non-Christian neighbours. Reported responses included a need for heightened awareness to engage the unchurched, to practice a higher level of acceptance and hospitality, to have greater intensity in serving the community, to provide relevant programming and to communicate the need to practice self-awareness when ministering to the unchurched. An area identified for further extension is facilitating members' application of belief to practice.
