Abstract
  • This project seeks to apply the model of expository preaching to the genre of Old Testament narrative. Chapter one introduces Salvisa Baptist Church and the surrounding community. Chapter two establishes a biblical and theological basis for why expository sermons should be preached from Old Testament narratives. Chapter three examines various approaches of interpreting Old Testament narrative texts, including two modern approaches: those of Sidney Greidanus and Walter C. Kaiser. Chapter four explains the process undertaken in implementing the project. Chapter five analyzes and evaluates the results of the project.
