  • Neither historical nor present-day contributions of women to the modern missionary movement are widely known. The author studied the actual ministry contribution of the women in one agency, the obstacles they face and the needs they have. Women comprise over half of this organization, yet their contributions to the work of God's kingdom on earth are largely unknown, even within their own agency. The study discusses a number of factors that play into this invisibility, including women's lack of representation in the leadership structure of the mission. At the end of the study, some suggestions for changes are made.
