Abstract
  • The purpose of this project was to plan, implement and evaluate a New Work Leadership Conference that would offer cross-cultural communication for Anglo, Black and ethnic pastors and lay leaders from the Southern Baptist Convention and other Christian traditions. The theological and theoretical rationale included a brief study of Biblical examples, sociological factors (cultural perceptions, family, and national origin), cross-cultural ministries, and cross-cultural communication. Both theological and theoretical rationales indicate that language leadership is more effective when done with the culture(s) of the trainees in mind.
