Abstract
  • This study identifies the activity of God in the healing dynamics of psychotherapy. Five psychiatrists and five pastoral counselors are interviewed to identify common elements recognized by these professionals as essential for healing work. Process theology is used to understand God's participation in psychotherapeutic healing and to point to implications for the meaning of this participation in terms of God's redemptive activity.
