- This project reports an effort to strengthen marriages through a twelve-session marital relationship enhancement class. Utilizing scriptural studies, in-class discussion, communication exercises, assignments for application of principles in the home, and inventories and counseling materials from ENRICH, couples were led to: develop greater awareness of strengths and weaknesses; develop greater empathy between spouses; encourage a positive, growth-oriented attitude toward the marital relationship; and promote better spousal communication. All couples increased in at least two of the thirteen categories measured by means of the ENRICH inventories utilized for pre-test and post-test comparisons.
