Abstract
  • This thesis considered the effectiveness of using narrative preaching to create a homiletical moment in which God's grace could be experienced. The sermon is a unique rhetorical form. Its purpose is to create an environment in which the hearers may experience the spiritual realities of faith. Using a series of sermons evaluated through various means the author has determined that the use of narrative combined with a demonstrative style and faithful exegesis can create an opportunity for the hearer to experience the grace of God in the preaching moment.
