Abstract

That all Christians are called, gifted, and sent of God to participate in ministry is the theme of this study. The purpose of the research project was, by means of a long-range plan, to build a foundation for activating a higher percentage of the church's membership in the task of ministry. This pastor conducted research into the historical, biblical, and theological basis of lay ministry, preached a series of eight sermons pertaining to the priesthood of all believers, and led the church to adopt a three-year plan designed to implement lay ministry.
