Abstract
  • The 'Holy Fire' study enabled the church body to move from passive observers to active participants in the worship service. The forty-day emphasis taught the congregation to understand and appropriate their God-given role in the preaching moment. The effectiveness of the study was illustrated by entry and exit surveys taken by the class participants. Survey questions focused on both the students' understanding and behavior in relationship to the role of the Holy Spirit in the preaching moment. The project was successful in increasing both comprehension and application of the material learned.
