Abstract
  • African cities are growing at great speed in this century. Alongside this growth is also the fast growth of the church in Africa. The growth of cities could be rich fields for harvest for the church if it is able to use this growth as viable field for the gospel of Jesus Christ. Most seminaries in Africa have not yet awaken to the challenge of training pastors who are able to tackle adequately the urban challenges that face the church in Africa today. In order to provide the desired training for pastors who will be able to minister in the city, this project is written with the view to developing an urban ministry curriculum for the Reformed Theological Seminary (RTS) Mkar in Nigeria. Such program is intended to equip pastors and evangelists with the necessary theoretical as well as the practical knowledge they need to function as urban church workers.
