Abstract
  • This project considers the spatiality of new church developments and the particular ways in which this affects the well being of the minister. Using Edward Soja's Thirdspace explorations as the basis for a critical spatial imagination applied to new church developments and taking Acts 10 as a biblical paradigm, the project sought to engage in the lived experience of ministers in this space and map the areas of diffraction in regard to well being. Research showed that particular combinations of stressors within new church development affected well being. A number of resourcing and coping proposals are offered for future direction in new church development.
