Abstract
  • This thesis explores the homiletic dimension of small Christian communities and proposes strategies to enhance the quality of their preaching conversation. The author first lays the theological, homiletic, and hermeneutical groundwork and then applies the theory to the development of a faith-sharing resource. A survey was conducted primarily to test whether a critical and contextual biblical hermeneutical process would improve the quality of the group's homiletic experience--especially a greater forging of Christian praxis. The survey results indicate that it does and the author makes a case that these results have implications for the enhancement of pulpit preaching.
