Abstract
  • The purpose of this project was to implement an organized ministry program whereby a select group of the deacons could discover, develop, and use their spiritual gifts. The thirteen week project was implemented in three phases. The project director assisted the participants in discovering, developing, and using their spiritual gifts in ministry tasks. Activities included sermons, a retreat, training sessions, and field experience. Evaluation involved a pretest and posttest questionnaire, critical observation, and several interviews by the director. The test results, testimony from the participants, and observation by the project director suggested that the project was successful.
